Ever had one of those days where everything is just falling down around you? Well that was my day yesterday, April 9th, I must say, a …Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
All I have to say is…
"I HATE BACKUPS!!!"
There now I feel much better. OK, OK, maybe it's just the tape drives or robots when they are not working, but I can truly say after yesterday I hate it when that happens. Ended up working 14hrs, ouch, yuk. Then to top it all off it was my birthday. So, there we have it folks that was my birthday. [My] …Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
Backups are a good thing don't get me wrong, in fact as an IT Professional it is my duty to make sure you know that.
But when dealing with enterprise backups and compliancy it makes for some very hectic times.
There now I feel very better, thank you for your time.

Well I found my next baby, 19-inch wide screen notebook. And for those of you that know me, I just got my current one in November, which I will be selling. And you may be asking me, why on earth, and all I have to say is 19 inch wide screen. What I use it for mostly is around the house, or take on trips. So it doesn't get much travel time often. It has some great specs, the are running the AMD Turon proccesors, Nvidia dual SLI video cards, and so so much more. The drool I am. It would appear that this is the year of Wide screen specs, and laptops quite large.

Update: April Fools! Not quite my finest hour, could have been put together a bit better. Hope that you find it amuszing and entertaining as I.
In an interesting turn of events this week, a rumor has surfaced that Microsoft is in talks with Apple to buy iTunes. Yes I know that this sounds extremely weird, but just let me finish here. Apple would still hold on to the imfoumose iPod line of hardware, Microsoft would license Sure Play to Apple for use with there ACC and within Quicktime. After five years iPods would also be able to play Windows Media files, both Video and Audio. What this gets Apple is a bit more than might appear, they would be able to have much more wiggle room with there impending litigation with Apple Music label and make it a mute point with the impending legislation in France and Denmark about equal access for all music files and "MP3" players out there. For Microsoft this gives them access to the most popular music service and a huge new customer base that own iPods. The most important thing for Microsoft is being able to keep there lawyers busy in Europe, as they do not have enough Monopoly activity going and would allow the EU to take them to task over yet another illicit use of there dominance over the PC desktop.
