What can I say, you just can never have enough disk space, prepare to drool.
Seagate has announced a 750GB hard drive. The Barracuda 7200.10 will be an SATA drive, with 8MB or 16MB cache, and a 5 year warranty. Suggest retail price is set to be $559. Now that is a huge jump the largest I have seen is 500GB. This huge jump is due to a new technology called Perpendicular Recording, acquired when Seagate bought it's competitor Maxtor. Perpendicular Recording is when the the bits on a drive's platter(s) are recorded vertically instead of in the horizontal position allowing for greater density on each platter.
This looks to be a promisingstep to the capacity we will be needing with all the media that will be buying in the near future. And as for my friend the Library Despot inquiring as to me preordering the drive, it's a bit too steep to buy two.

Brain Age looks to be a very interesting "game", if that's what you'd like to call it. Brain Age is a brain exerciser of sorts, for the Nintendo DS you go through some simple exercises each day pertaining to reading, memory, and mathematics. Now if only they would release the DS Lite.

There is a new Windows Mobile site out called The Modern Nomad, it is taking a fresh approach to the mobile tech space. They are going to focus on using the devices' that you have. Where most sites revolve around the Windows Mobile devices themselves, what is currently out and what is on the horizon. The Modern Nomad is filling a niche that I had not really thought about before, and are making an great effort to enhance what we have all built in the WIndows Mobile tech community and strengthen it, by providing a place for people to focus on getting the most of the device they currently.
I myself love seeing those cutting edge devices and what great options are going to be available and would love nothing better than to get a new device every few months. But the truth of the matter is I get a device and keep it for about two and half years, each device I have upgraded to the next version of PocketPC/Windows Mobile available. Each new device has had a significant upgrade to the screen and wireless communication options, and the Rom and Ram are also "larger" just from the evolution of hardware and need to run the OS. After spending some time at the site and going through what they have to offer I see some excellent potential.
Good luck guys and look forward to participating in the new and growing community you are fostering.
